- What happens in month one?
- The audit and the baseline, always. We freeze where you stand across the assistants and across search before we touch anything, because without that no later result can be attributed and everyone falls back on opinion.
- Is there a setup fee?
- No, not on the packages and not on the module. Month one is the audit and the baseline, billed at the normal monthly rate. A lot of this market charges a separate onboarding fee for exactly that work; we would rather it earn its place inside the monthly fee like everything else.
- Is there a minimum term?
- Three months, which is roughly how long it takes for a change in what assistants read to show up in what they say. After that it runs month to month and you can stop at the end of any month. Most of this market asks for six to twelve, and we think a lock-in is a poor substitute for being worth keeping.
- What actually separates the two packages?
- Breadth of work, not breadth of monitoring. Both track the same set of questions across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, because capping what we look at would only hide things from you. Compound covers more markets, adds the entity and structured data programme, and runs on a fortnightly rhythm instead of a monthly one.
- Can I buy the advertising on its own?
- No. The module is judged against the baseline a package freezes, and without that baseline paid results cannot be told apart from organic ones. It can be added to either package, and dropped again at the end of any month after the third.
- Is advertising spend included?
- No. The module fee covers setting up, buying and measuring the placement. What you spend on the placement itself is billed by the platform to you directly, and we never take a percentage of it — that is exactly the incentive you do not want your agency to have.
- Who owns the work?
- You do. Your repositories, your properties, your data. Scripts and documentation are handed over as we go, so nothing here depends on us staying.
